Lundia kitchen in black by Joanna Laajisto

This is interior architect and designer Joanna Laajisto‘s fair booth design for classic Finnish furniture company Lundia, for their stand at the Habitare trade show during Helsinki Design Week earlier this autumn.
I was asked to design a kitchen and a trade show concept for the Habitare trade show a few weeks ago, using only Lundia parts. Another new thing was that I was able to use all black elements in the design, which are now part of the Lundia Classic collection.”
The stand was awarded best of show by the Finnish Interior Journalist Association, very well deserved. The balance between black and light wood, and the use of both modern and classic accessories creates a very fresh and trendy look, and goes very well with the ads that Lotta Agaton created for the company last year.

Ems Designblogg is all about Scandinavian style, soft minimalism and beautiful functionalism. The blog is Sweden's oldest interior design blog and has been up and running since 2005. I strive to fill it with a mix of inspirational and aspirational images from all over the world, while keeping true to my own voice and style, where transparency is key and creative criticism is highly valued. When I'm not blogging, I bake chocolate cakes for my kids, hang around Stockholm's cafés and drink way too many cappuccinos, do some occasional styling work, and try to fit in some inspiring travel adventures in between.
