Blooc’s New Japan Inspired Houses in Stockholm

Annons

Blooc Patio house, bedroom with kimono

Blooc is a Swedish company that designs houses with some really cool and stylish interiors. They are aiming at modern families and a style that is ”exciting but not strange”. I think they hit the spot.

Their latest project is called Patio and is carrying through Blooc’s usual style with large industrial steel windows, interesting angles and unusual stair solutions. What mostly stands out about these houses is the super tall exhaust pipe from the centrally placed stove, making a bold statement, and the petrol blue metal staircase is definitely not something you have seen before. As you can see, the styling here is quite inspired by Japan, but still keeping the overall Scandinavian impression through materials and colors.

Ems Designblogg is all about Scandinavian style, soft minimalism and beautiful functionalism. The blog is Sweden's oldest interior design blog and has been up and running since 2005. I strive to fill it with a mix of inspirational and aspirational images from all over the world, while keeping true to my own voice and style, where transparency is key and creative criticism is highly valued. When I'm not blogging, I bake chocolate cakes for my kids, hang around Stockholm's cafés and drink way too many cappuccinos, do some occasional styling work, and try to fit in some inspiring travel adventures in between. If you have any suggestions, propositions for collaborations, other ideas or just want to say hi, throw an email at: emsdesignblogg@gmail.com.
