Q-HOOK naknak afteroom ems designblogg

I meant to write about NakNak right after Stockholm Design Fair in February, but it somehow got lost in the flood of new designs that were launched around the same time. However, I was reminded today as I saw this new video from Afteroom, featuring a new and clever version of the classic S-hook that they designed for the brand.

Q-HOOK from AFTEROOM on Vimeo.

”Q-HOOK is the evolution of the ordinary S-hook. When people grab stuff from an S-hook, the hook can easily fall. With a simple extension of the ordinary structure, Q-HOOK grasps the pole completely and looks like the English letter “q”. It helps you organize items with steadiness and safety.”

NakNak’s collection revolves around organizing an entrance and is a collaboration between Matti Klenell, TAF, Afteroom, Erik Olovsson, John Astbury, Kyuhyung Cho, Yenwen Tseng, Yuko Maki, and Yun Li. You will find lots of stylish and smart storage solutions, such as the Shelf mirror and The Box.

Ems Designblogg is all about Scandinavian style, soft minimalism and beautiful functionalism. The blog is Sweden's oldest interior design blog and has been up and running since 2005. I strive to fill it with a mix of inspirational and aspirational images from all over the world, while keeping true to my own voice and style, where transparency is key and creative criticism is highly valued. When I'm not blogging, I bake chocolate cakes for my kids, hang around Stockholm's cafés and drink way too many cappuccinos, do some occasional styling work, and try to fit in some inspiring travel adventures in between.
