The TriBeCa Penthouse at The Greenwich Hotel

Est-Magazine-the-greenwich-hotel-penthouse5

Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt and Japanese architect Tatsuro Miki teamed up to create a luxury hotel in the heart of TriBeCa, NYC, working closely together with the hotels’ owners Robert de Niro and Ira Drukier. The result is The Greenwich Hotel, and the most impressive part is the TriBeCa Penthouse suite, with an equally impressive price tag of $15000/night. For that amount you will get an amazing 2800 sq ft three bedroom suite, and 4000 sq ft terraces with a private roof top pool. The interiors are very calming, kept in dark hues and natural materials, inspired by Japanese decorating philosophy Wabi Sabi, and I imagine this would be a perfect balance to the busy NYC experience.

Ems Designblogg is all about Scandinavian style, soft minimalism and beautiful functionalism. The blog is Sweden's oldest interior design blog and has been up and running since 2005. I strive to fill it with a mix of inspirational and aspirational images from all over the world, while keeping true to my own voice and style, where transparency is key and creative criticism is highly valued. When I'm not blogging, I bake chocolate cakes for my kids, hang around Stockholm's cafés and drink way too many cappuccinos, do some occasional styling work, and try to fit in some inspiring travel adventures in between. If you have any suggestions, propositions for collaborations, other ideas or just want to say hi, throw an email at: emsdesignblogg@gmail.com.

Well I have to say i absolutely love these interiors! What´s funny through is that it is very similar to what poor farmer in germany (franconia) lived a hundred years ago. Except the exquisite furniture of course.
