Convenience store, café, flower shop, lunch joint, generally friendly hangout, I’m not really sure what to call this place, but it sure looks nice! Tous les jours opened a few months ago in Vasastan, Stockholm, and while this is definitely not my chosen area to hang out in, I think I might have to make an exception… I wish my local convenience store looked like this. Imagine walking in here every time you need some milk or a snack? So cozy!
Tous les jours are open every day, and on weekends they deliver fresh baked bread and breakfast bags to people living nearby.
Even though they have carefully chosen their suppliers and products, they are hoping that no one will see them as complicated or elitist. ”To be ”one in the neighbourhood” means that everyone should feel welcome. Just because we believe in serving superb coffee, we don’t feel the need to talk about how we calibrate our espresso machine or the coffee beans passing through the intestines of some obscure mustelids. We think that is the kind of things that would scare people off. We are very happy for the mix of people who are visiting us.”
