Watercolor blanket

Hazy cotton watercolor blanket schneid ems designblogg

A new discovery for me, I had never heard of the German brand Schneid before I stumbled over this beautiful picture of their Hazy blanket on Loraine’s blog Grijs. Intrigued, I clicked over to their site, only to find that this cotton blanket is actually made in Sweden. Pretty funny! In the bottom photo you can see it hanging on their Fil clothes hanger, made of brass and white carrara marble.

”Hazy is based on a very simple principle: the combination of two complementary colors that create a dynamic space through color gradients and the intertwining of different tones. The abstract watercolor appears to have been created by chance; pure intuition produced the dissolution of form and autonomy of colors. Its smooth transitions give the watercolor a lightness and tenderness, thereby creating a feeling of warmth and coziness.”

Ems Designblogg is all about Scandinavian style, soft minimalism and beautiful functionalism. The blog is Sweden's oldest interior design blog and has been up and running since 2005. I strive to fill it with a mix of inspirational and aspirational images from all over the world, while keeping true to my own voice and style, where transparency is key and creative criticism is highly valued. When I'm not blogging, I bake chocolate cakes for my kids, hang around Stockholm's cafés and drink way too many cappuccinos, do some occasional styling work, and try to fit in some inspiring travel adventures in between. If you have any suggestions, propositions for collaborations, other ideas or just want to say hi, throw an email at:
