Surrealist Apartment with Pink Kitchen

surrealist apartment fantastic frank ems designblogg pink kitchen

Sometimes I get really bored with seeing all these perfectly styled Scandi style apartments, and long for something else, something a bit more unexpected. This week, that was delivered in the form of this apartment for sale through Fantastic Frank. Not only is the kitchen bubblegum pink with knotty pine worktops and stainless steel cabinets (which is a really weird mix, but somehow works here), but look at the details here; giant pencil in the corner, hat pendant light, old safe as storage and a funny dog photo on the wall. This home is fun, and unexpected, but still really stylish!

Ems Designblogg is all about Scandinavian style, soft minimalism and beautiful functionalism. The blog is Sweden's oldest interior design blog and has been up and running since 2005. I strive to fill it with a mix of inspirational and aspirational images from all over the world, while keeping true to my own voice and style, where transparency is key and creative criticism is highly valued. When I'm not blogging, I bake chocolate cakes for my kids, hang around Stockholm's cafés and drink way too many cappuccinos, do some occasional styling work, and try to fit in some inspiring travel adventures in between. I agree with your feeling about perfectly styled Scandi style apartments. Although they still appeal to me it’s so nice to see some colour now and then. Thanks for sharing!

So true… I think you have to have an exquisite eye for
detail to know how to mix such different furnishings in one single room and still
have a stylish, elegant but at the same time fun outcome. J Plus, I totally agree with
you regarding the perfect styled Scandi apartments. I guess sometimes a splash
of color can be added by inserting small details into a room. Here’s an example
    of what I’m referring to:
